Booking and Payment<\/strong><\/h2><p>When a booking is made:<\/p><ul><li><p>the renter pays the full amount through the platform<\/p><\/li><li><p>payments are processed by third\u2011party providers (e.g., S5 \/ Rapyd)<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>GoF\u00f8royar may hold the payment during the rental period.<\/p><p>After the rental ends:<\/p><ul><li><p>the amount (minus platform fee) is paid to the owner within <strong>3\u20135 business days<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>4. Platform Fee<\/strong><\/h2><p>GoF\u00f8royar charges a <strong>20% service fee<\/strong> on each booking.<\/p><p>The fee:<\/p><ul><li><p>is deducted before payout<\/p><\/li><li><p>is generally <strong>non\u2011refundable<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>5. Deposit (Security Deposit)<\/strong><\/h2><p>A deposit is required for all bookings.<\/p><ul><li><p>Typical amount: <strong>2,000 \u2013 10,000 DKK<\/strong><\/p><\/li><li><p>Reserved before the rental begins<\/p><\/li><li><p>Held during the rental period<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>The deposit may be used to cover:<\/p><ul><li><p>damage to the vehicle<\/p><\/li><li><p>late return<\/p><\/li><li><p>violations of the terms<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Unused deposit amounts:<\/p><ul><li><p>are refunded within <strong>48 hours<\/strong> after the rental ends<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Damage assessment:<\/p><ul><li><p>may be performed by an independent third party (e.g., a workshop)<\/p><\/li><li><p>may be used as the basis for decisions<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>The renter may be required to pay costs exceeding the deposit.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>6. Cancellations and Refunds<\/strong><\/h2><p>Renters may cancel <strong>free of charge<\/strong> up to <strong>24 hours<\/strong> before the rental starts.<\/p><p>If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before:<\/p><ul><li><p>the owner receives <strong>50%<\/strong> of the rental price<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>If the renter does not show up:<\/p><ul><li><p>the owner receives <strong>100%<\/strong> of the rental price<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>If the car is not available:<\/p><ul><li><p>the renter receives a <strong>full refund<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>7. Delays<\/strong><\/h2><p>If the car is returned late:<\/p><ul><li><p>an additional fee may be charged<\/p><\/li><li><p>the amount may be deducted from the deposit<\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>8. Renter Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2><p>The renter must:<\/p><ul><li><p>have a valid driver\u2019s license<\/p><\/li><li><p>use the car responsibly<\/p><\/li><li><p>follow traffic laws<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>The renter is responsible for:<\/p><ul><li><p>damage to the vehicle<\/p><\/li><li><p>deductible (self\u2011risk)<\/p><\/li><li><p>costs not covered by insurance<\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>9. Owner Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2><p>The owner must ensure that:<\/p><ul><li><p>the car is in good and safe condition<\/p><\/li><li><p>valid insurance is in place<\/p><\/li><li><p>the insurance allows rental use<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>GoF\u00f8royar may request proof of this.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>10. Insurance<\/strong><\/h2><p>Insurance is between the owner and the insurance company. GoF\u00f8royar is <strong>not<\/strong> an insurance provider.<\/p><p>GoF\u00f8royar is not responsible for:<\/p><ul><li><p>insurance claims<\/p><\/li><li><p>lack of coverage<\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>11. Damages and Disputes<\/strong><\/h2><p>All damages must be reported:<\/p><ul><li><p>as soon as possible<\/p><\/li><li><p>and no later than <strong>48 hours<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>GoF\u00f8royar may:<\/p><ul><li><p>request evidence (photos, etc.)<\/p><\/li><li><p>assist with communication<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Disputes may be brought before Faroese courts.<\/p><p>GoF\u00f8royar may use the deposit to cover costs.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><h2><strong>12. Insurance Requirements<\/strong><\/h1><p>All owners must ensure that:<\/p><ul><li><p>the vehicle has valid insurance<\/p><\/li><li><p>the insurance explicitly permits rental or third\u2011party use<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Owners must:<\/p><ul><li><p>keep the insurance valid throughout the rental period<\/p><\/li><li><p>provide proof of insurance if requested<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>Vehicles without proper insurance are not allowed on the platform.<\/p><p>GoF\u00f8royar may request documentation and has the right to remove vehicles that do not meet the requirements.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><h1><strong>3. Renter Responsibility<\/strong><\/h1><p>The renter is responsible for:<\/p><ul><li><p>using the vehicle legally and responsibly<\/p><\/li><li><p>following traffic laws<\/p><\/li><li><p>any damage to the vehicle<\/p><\/li><li><p>the deductible and any other costs not covered by insurance<\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h1><strong>4. If Damage or an Incident Occurs<\/strong><\/h1><p>If damage, an accident, or loss occurs:<\/p><ul><li><p>the renter must immediately contact the owner<\/p><\/li><li><p>both parties must document the incident (photos, statements, etc.)<\/p><\/li><li><p>the owner must contact their insurance company<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>GoF\u00f8royar may assist with communication but is not responsible for handling insurance matters.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><h1><strong>5. Use of the Deposit<\/strong><\/h1><p>Damage and costs may be covered by:<\/p><ul><li><p>the deposit<\/p><\/li><li><p>additional payment from the renter if the cost exceeds the deposit<\/p><\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><h1><strong>6. Disputes<\/strong><\/h1><p>Disputes regarding:<\/p><ul><li><p>damage<\/p><\/li><li><p>insurance<\/p><\/li><li><p>liability<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>should primarily be resolved between the owner and the renter.<\/p><p>GoF\u00f8royar may:<\/p><ul><li><p>assist with communication<\/p><\/li><li><p>act as a mediator<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>but is not obligated to make a final decision.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div><h1><strong>7.
